At the end of 2021, studio 343 Industries launched the game Halo Infinite, and this is after the absence of 6 years from the last Halo 5 part. Despite the successful launch at the beginning, the game lacked some features such as the absence of cooperative play, and with the failure of the developer to support it, interest in it began to decrease with the days.
This is reflected in the number of players and the number of players on Steam, as SteamDB data today showed that the number of Halo Master Chief Collection players is now outpacing the number of Halo Infinite players, despite the latter being more recent, with the number of Halo players in the last 24 hours reaching 9,212 and the current number of players is 7,205 player.
In contrast, the number of Halo Infinite players in the past 24 hours was 8,210 and the current number of players is only 5,414.
It's true that the difference isn't huge, but this may be an indication that the Hilo fans are starting to gravitate more towards the old classics and leave the Hilo Infinite.
We mention that the reason behind the increase in the number of Halo Master Chief Collection players is the launch of a huge update a few days ago that added several new features such as the availability of co-op play in Halo 3 story mode and the addition of a FloodFight mode to Halo 3: ODST.
We recently learned that Microsoft is using the Certain Affinity team to help develop Hello Infinite in exciting new ways.
